Every seller on BASE242 is a real, verified Bahamian vendor. Before a listing goes live — an excursion, a product, a service, or an auction lot — the seller passes a multi-step verification process handled locally in Nassau.
What we verify
Business license or TIN, government-issued ID, physical operating address, and category-specific credentials. For excursion operators we confirm boat registration and insurance; for grocery and food vendors we confirm health and safety certification.
How it works
Sellers apply through the Sell on BASE page, then meet with our Nassau-based merchant success team — in person, on WhatsApp, or by video call. Documents are reviewed, payout details linked, and the storefront is activated once the checks clear. Most approvals happen within 48 hours.
Buyer protection
If a booking is cancelled by the seller, an item never ships, or an excursion doesn't run as described, BASE242 refunds the guest in full — no need to chase the vendor. Payouts to sellers are only released after the guest confirms the experience or delivery.
